I was all of thirteen years old, the first time I remember going to New York. I’d been there once before when I was a toddler, but that doesn’t count. I remember when we got off the bus, I looked up at the skyscrapers, and had to lean against the vehicle because of vertigo!
I have been wanting to take my son to NYC since he was little. Haven’t been able to for one reason or another. I was there for New Year’s before he was born, before they started corraling people after 911…wouldn’t do that now!
Thank heavens for the ‘flip/rotate’ screen.
I mostly use the viewfinder eyepiece, unless trying for candids without getting too noticed … many folks tend to ‘pose’ if they see the camera (I like people to be natural—I’d never make a street photographer, I don’t like to intrude).
Same here – I don’t like taking pictures of people I don’t know! Funnily enough I don’t have a flip screen camera, I wish I did; it would make these shots a lot easier to take! Thank you so much for your comment 😀

I absolutely know what you mean – I always feel so tall when I come back to the UK! The skyscrapers really change your perspective on things!

It is still definitely worth going in my opinion but I know what you mean.
If I’m able to get to NYC again it would be in the spring, I think, and to sight see
Nice – I’m guessing you went very late (or early) to get the shot with so few vehicles in it. Cheers!
I’ve never been to NYC Dave! Great photos. 😎🇬🇧
